About us?
My name is Genevieve Plante, I have a BA in special education, a certificate in French, I co-wrote the Quebecois book: Les pictogrammes, parce qu’une image vaut mille mots (The Pictograms, Because a Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words). The co-author and illustrator is named Anne-Marie Le Gouill.
I taught in many different special classes. I am specialized in Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) like Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger’s Syndrome, Other PDD not otherwise specified and Atypical Autism. But in my teaching years, I also worked with children suffering from Dysphasia, Dyspraxia, Intellectual Disability, Hyperactivity, Attention Deficit Disorders (ADD), etc.
My passion for children led me to want to share my knowledge, my experience and my creative energy with the largest number of people possible.
It is therefore with pleasure and support of Anne-Marie Le Gouill, which is a wonderful illustrator; I can now improve the daily lives of thousands of children by creating educational adapted tools.
